Imaa — Based in New Jersey — I build things for the web and write about what I learn.

Hey, I’m Imaa, based in New Jersey. Right now I’m an Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree, and in the hours around those shifts, I build things for the web: animation-rich sites, small tools, and the occasional experiment that exists mostly because I wanted to see if it would work.

I care a lot about how things feel: the difference between something that merely functions and something that’s a small pleasure to use. A lot of that comes down to motion, typography, and restraint.

I’m honestly not certain where my career is headed yet, and I’ve made peace with that. This site is partly a portfolio, partly a notebook, and partly a place to think out loud while I figure it out.

When I’m not working or building, I’m usually reading, recording, or shooting something — some of which ends up somewhere on this page.
